Feeling My Way

what might you be willing
to let stay
unresolved
incomplete unfixed?

what burden could you
lay down by the side
of the road
and ease forward
without ever looking back?

What last straw would you
leave unturned and unexamined
in order to lighten your load
enough to soar on the winds
of something as simple
and satisfying as
unimpeded joy?

what might you allow
to go unlisted
undated undone
so as to release the tethers
holding you fixed
and anchored to obligations
that have chosen
and been chosen
by you?

what could you relinquish and
what price would you gladly pay
for the precious privilege
of quiet contentment
and could you
without regrets
leave furled the flag
of endless achievements
in order to surrender to
the holy sweetness of
unencumbered being?
